Today we are pleased to say that we had a fantastic visit with PPG at their plant. Bear Glass‘s own, Mark Sakowitz was given the tour of their factory and offices and was thoroughly impressed. They informed us that Bear Glass is one of the largest sellers of their heavy glass in the industry. Bear Glass supplies all of PPG’s products but does especially well by moving their Starphire Glass and Clarvista Glass lines of products. The heavy glass that they said that we moved well was referring to the 3/4″ and 1″ glass. Samples can definitely be provided by Bear Glass. Clarvista Glass
Clarvista Glass has a coating, fused to the glass, sealing the glass surface to provide a protective barrier. The coating withstands the high temperatures required to thermally temper (strengthen) glass to meet safety codes for shower enclosures. Which is why, with regular maintenance, shower enclosures built with any of the available varieties of Clarvista glass can keep their “like new” look longer.
Why Clarvista Glass? 
- After harsh accelerated exposure tests to the heat, humidity and chemical exposure in a typical bathroom, Clarvista glass showed no signs of corrosion.
- After these same tests, uncoated glass showed significant signs of corrosion.

Starphire Glass
